Why we created this trip

We created this trip to approach the M'Zab through what makes it so singular: a way of inhabiting, of building, of sharing water and of passing knowledge on. The ksour and the palm groves are the setting, but what matters lies elsewhere, in the customs, the encounters and the rhythms that give the territory its meaning. The crossing into the desert and the night on the farm extend that discovery with a more intimate experience of the South.

Flight from Algiers, welcome at Ghardaia airport, transfer to the hotel or guesthouse, check-in, dinner and overnight.

Day 2Beni Isguen and the palm groveGuided tour of the Beni Isguen ksar

Guided tour of the Beni Isguen ksar, lunch in a traditional guesthouse, then the palm grove, the Bordj and the water-sharing system. Dinner, a traditional music evening and overnight.

Day 3El Atteuf and on to the farmThe El Atteuf ksar and the Sidi Brahim mausoleum

The El Atteuf ksar and the Sidi Brahim mausoleum, lunch with a local family, then the Taghardait market square. On to the El Habib farm, check-in, dinner and overnight.

Day 4Desert by 4x4Breakfast at the farm

Breakfast at the farm, a 4x4 safari, a picnic lunch out in the open, back to the farm and a convivial evening with a Bedouin dinner and live music.

Day 5ReturnBreakfast and transfer to Ghardaia airport for the return flight via Algiers.
