Why we created this trip

We created this trip to show a different Sahara: vertical, mineral, almost unreal. From sunrise at the Assekrem to the nights in bivouac, the Hoggar is discovered through its relief, its rock art sites and the encounters along the way. It is an itinerary designed to feel the scale of the territory as much as to understand the culture that lives in it.

Why you'll love this trip

  • The Assekrem, Father de Foucauld's hermitage and sunrise/sunset.
  • The Hoggar's volcanic peaks, gueltas, plateaus and natural arches.
  • Rock-art sites and light 1 to 1½-hour walks depending on the day.
  • Camps out in the desert and a first/last night in a guesthouse in Tamanrasset.
